Does Genesis 12:3 Apply To The Jews Today?

Genesis 12:1-3, “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

That is a good question. I've been waiting for someone to ask it. The answer in my humble opinion is "yes" and "no."

Yes, that verse applies today for every born-again child of God. Matthew 25:40, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Pastor Steven Anderson is right that "we" saints are the chosen, not a bunch of Christ-rejecting infidel Jews. Romans 2:28-29 teaches that he is only a "Jew" who is one inwardly. That is, a born-again Christian.

Unbelieving Jews were never blessed by God in the Old Testament. We read in Exodus 19:5-6 that God's promise of blessing upon the Jews is conditional. It was then, and it still is today. God's promises have always followed a line of faith. Also, see Deuteronomy chapter 28. When Israel sinned, God gave them over to heathen nations in judgment to be chastised (e.g., Judges 6:1).

No, Genesis 12:3 is not automatically for Jews today. I get so tired of hearing ignoramus preachers saying that Genesis 12:3 applies to unsaved rebellious Jews. No way! There is no promise in the Scripture for God to bless Christ-rejecting Jews, nor to curse those who curse them.

God chose Abraham because He knew that Abraham would teach his children to obey God, and he did. God chose the Jews as His people—to be His ambassadors to the world with the Gospel—a shining nation zealous of righteousness and truth. But the Jews went into idolatry worshipping false gods. So, God cut them off. In 586 BC God gave Israel into the cruel hands of the Babylonians for judgment. Wicked King Zedekiah's 70 sons were all murdered in front of him, and then his eyes put out by soldiers to blind him, so that this would be the last thing he ever saw. Oh how foolish was Zedekiah. Sadly, his stupid decision not to obey God caused all of Israel to be punished with him. The decisions of our nation's leaders affect all of us! President Joe Biden is destroying this country, making it easier for Russia and China to nuke us. Our military is weak, ridiculous and full of immoral idiots today.

Romans 11:19-22, "Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off."

As we just read, God cut off the Jews because of UNBELIEF. Yet, the Lord promises to graff any Jew back into the promises He made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, if they will simply BELIEVE on Jesus Christ as their Savior. Sadly, only 1.9% of Israel's 7,000,000 Jews claim to be a Christian (that includes the pseudo-Christian cults like Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh-Day Adventist, Churches of Christ, et cetera, who are NOT saved).
Present-day Israel is NOT the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Hosea 3:4-5 teaches that Israel will return when the Israelites repent toward God, which hasn't happened yet. A remnant will return to God. When the Bible says in Romans 11:26b that “All Israel shall be saved,” it means all of the remnant of believing Jews will be saved. There is always a remnant. Elijah thought he was the Lone Ranger in Israel, but God told Elijah He had 7,000 more who hadn't bowed their knee to the god of Baal. There was a remnant. There is still a remnant today of Christian Jews scattered throughout the world. But God has included believing Gentiles in His plan too. Hosea 2:23, “And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.” We serve a very good God. God's greatness ceases to amaze me.

Galatians 3:26-29 teaches that God is NOT a respecter of persons. There is neither male nor female, neither Jew nor Gentile, neither black nor white, neither free nor imprisoned—we are all ONE by faith in Jesus Christ.

I hope that answers your question. Many unlearned and ignorant preachers have wrestled the Bible to their own destruction (2nd Peter 3:16-17). The promise that God made to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 was made only to Abraham.

All the families of the earth have been blessed through Abraham, because God introduced the Gospel and the Savior to the world through Israel. When Jesus told the woman begging for food that the food was for the Jews, not the Gentiles; she said, yes, but the dogs eat the scraps. Jesus was not mistreating her because as a Jew He felt superior to her, God forbid. Jesus was emphasizing the importance of God's nation, Israel. 

Zechariah 2:8, “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.” The Bible is teaching here that Israel, the nation itself is the apple of God's eye, as He intended for it to be, a citadel of truth and righteousness. But the Jews ran the nation into the ground, so God took it away from them. It is the nation of Israel that is the apple of God's eye. When the Jews obeyed, God blessed them and protected them. But when the Jews rebelled and went into idolatry, God DID NOT bless them, he cursed them (Deuteronomy 28:15-68).

When the wicked Jewish Pharisees boasted to Jesus of their biological relationship to Abraham, being his fleshly descendants, the Lord told them "Big deal, God could raise up these rocks as Abraham's children." Jesus wasn't impressed with them being Jews! ...
Matthew 3:9, “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.”

Being Jewish means nothing to God!!! Who is a Jew anyway? How much of your DNA needs to be Jewish to be considered a “Jew”? 10%? 25%? 75%? Pastor Steven Anderson had his DNA tested and of the several dozen ethnicities, "Ashkelon Jew" appeared first on his list. Interesting, his wife is German...lol. I think that's nice.

Who is a "Jew"? Is it a person who lives within the borders of Israel today? That would make someone a national Jew. There are African tribes who claim to be Jewish. There are cultural Jews, people who choose to live by Jewish customs and the Torah. Then there are also religious Jews, who follow the ungodly Talmud. So, who is a "Jew"? The Bible says in Galatians 3:29, “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Whether Jew or Gentile, if you are a born-again saint of God, you are a Jew in God's sight!

And finally, we read in Galatians 3:16, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” God's promises were not made to the Jews, but to Jesus! Only by faith in Jesus Christ will any human being (whether Jew or Gentile) be made HEIRS of God's promises to Christ. Again, please notice Galatians 3:29, “And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Hosea 3:4-5, “For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.”

Our text passage from Hosea teaches that the Israelites will be without a king, and without a nation or temple (as they are today and have been for thousands of years), but will ultimately be restored when the Jews repent toward God, when Jesus Christ returns at His Second Coming in the future.

There is a biblical Zionism that is appropriate, based on God's promises to restore the nation of Israel in the future. But then there is a manmade sinful type of Zionism. What is Zionism? It is the restoration of the Jews to Israel. Present-day Israel is not the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. God promises to restore the nation of Israel when the Jews return to God, which hasn't happened yet. Hosea 3:4-5 teaches that true Israel will be a nation again, when Jesus comes back after the 7-year Tribulation period.

In the Old Testament God promised to give Abraham and Sarah a son. Several years passed and Sarah couldn't get pregnant. So she contrived a sinful plot for her husband to impregnate their maid, Hagar. She did get pregnant and bore a son, and Abraham named him Ishmael. Although God told Abraham that He would bless Ishmael, God rejected Ishmael as the son of promise. Abraham and Sarah sinned by taking matters into their own hands, instead of waiting upon the Lord to fulfill His promise.

Likewise, the Rothchild family and other ungodly sinners, took it upon themselves to create the secular nation-state of present-day Israel, which was founded in Palestine on May 15, 1948. Men did this, not God! That is why I always refer to present-day Israel as being manmade, because that is exactly what it is. I fully agree with Pastor J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) in this doctrinal matter . . .

“Israel is just like any other nation. Some think they're a little brutal, but my friend, they're on the defense over there, you can be sure of that. And they have to exercise a strong defense system. They're not backing that land in fulfillment of prophecy. They have returned to the land, but they have not yet returned to the Lord. When they return to the Lord there will be blessing. They have not yet done that! 

...they went out in 70 A.D. And they actually have never returned to the land according to the Word of God. Now hear me very carefully because this is very important to see. They have returned to the land today, and it's remarkable what has happened over there, but it's not the fulfillment of prophecy, because the prophecy says when they return they'll return TO GOD!”

In his “THRU-THE-BIBLE” commentary for Hosea 3:5, Dr. McGee stresses the truth that there are more Arab Christians in Israel today than there are Jewish Christians. Upon a return trip to visit Israel, Pastor McGee makes the startling comment, “Over there there's no turning to God, at all!” While visiting he saw a big motto in Israel which read: “SCIENCE WILL BRING PEACE TO THIS LAND.” Israel is a Godless nation today!

Dr. McGee estimates that there are less than 300 Israelites that are real believers in Israel today! I agree with his assertion. The Russian Catholic Church owns much land in Israel today, as do Greek Orthodox and Muslims. Dr. McGee rightly states, “We're a nation of Biblical ignoramuses! We do not know the Word of God today in this land” (Pastor J. Vernon McGee, 'THRU-THE-BIBLE,' commentary from Hosea 4:1-2). Every Christian should form a daily habit of Bible reading.

When Christ returns and defeats the Antichrist, and He established His millennial Kingdom for 1,000 years, Jesus will sit upon the throne of David and reign over the whole earth from Jerusalem. Revelation 19:15, “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” During the millennium there won't be the wars, lying, truce-breaking and hatred among the nations that exists today, and has existed throughout history.

I was watching a news documentary today on YouTube about Israel and the Palestinians. There have been truces made between the two groups over the decades since 1948, when manmade Israel was formed. Sadly, both groups have repeated broken their truce agreements. A unilateral peace agreement was reached in the year 2000, overseen by President Bill Clinton when Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat (1929-2004) was still alive, but in the months to follow both sides reneged on their promises and the whole thing fell apart.

The Bible tells us that in the last days people would break their truces. 2nd Timothy 3:1-3, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,” War ensued again between Israel and the Palestinians. I was shocked how many times since 1948 that tens of thousands of Palestinians were murdered by Israel. Tragically, life is cheap in Palestine. Israel is guilty far more than the Palestinians of war crimes. It is sad that a truce means nothing to Israel.

In the past month Israel has murdered over 10,000 innocent poor people in Palestine, in angry retaliation for Hamas murdering 1,400 Jews last month in cold blood. Both sides hate each other's guts. Both sides want their pound of flesh, they want blood. Human nature is so desperately wicked, as the Holy Bible teaches in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Over the past century Israel has murdered over 100,000 Palestinians!!! The plain truth dear reader is that both the Jews and non-Jews in both Israel and Palestine need Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

The World Needs Jesus As Their Personal Savior

I once heard a story. I don't know if it is true, but the point is valid just the same. A communist and a Christian man once had a conversation. The communist said to the Christian man: “Do you see that man over there? Communist could put a new coat on him.” The Christian man replied: “Christianity could put a new man in the coat!” I love that! No amount of grooming, catering and cozying up to both sides in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Arabs will ever resolve this crisis. The only permanent solution is Christianity for both sides. Jesus taught 'The Golden Rule' in Matthew 7:12, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

The Middle East woefully lacks love for God and their neighbours. Sadly, the majority of churches in America today woefully lack genuine love for God and people. I receive so many emails from hurting people, who tell me about abusive clergy. They share with me horrible things that pastors and religious leaders have done to hurt them. That is so sad and shameful. If there is one place in the world where a sinner should be able to go and be loved, it is a Bible-believing church. I have often preached the truth that we should never reject the sinner with the sin, or accept the sin with the sinner. People just want to be loved.

Love The Arab People

I love and appreciate the soulwinning ministry of Pastor Steven L. Anderson at the faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona. Unfortunately, Pastor Anderson woefully lacks God's unconditional love for lost sinners, particularly the LGBTQ homosexual community. That is very wrong! If you are a born-again believer as I am, then God commands us to hate evil (Psalms 97:10), but never people (John 3:16). The servant is not greater than His master Jesus said (John 13:16). If our dear Savior loved sinners, then what in the world compels preachers like Steven Anderson to hate them?

Luke 9:51-56, “And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.”

Tennessee evangelical pastor, Greg Locke, weeks ago called for the total annihilation of Gaza by Israel. Locke suggested that Israel turn the entire Gaza Strip into a giant parking lot, murdering all non-Jew Palestinian people in cold blood. Folks, Locke is a wicked person! No Christian should desire or rally for the destruction of any group of people! Jesus rebuked His disciples for desiring to pray down fire to destroy the Samaritans. That is exactly what foolish pastors like Greg Locke and others are doing today, wanting to see the Palestinian people destroyed. If you side with Israel and have no compassion for the Arab people, then you need to get your wicked heart right with God friend.

I mentioned Steven Anderson earlier. Sadly, he still hasn't learned at age 41 as a saint of God to separate and balance his hatred for sin and love for people. Pastor Jack Hyles was so right, who wisely said...

The Bible Foretold Many False Prophets Would Come

2nd Peter 2:1-3, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

False prophets are nothing new, but the inspired Scripture tells us that in the Last Days that not just a few, but “many” false prophets shall rise, deceiving and being deceived. Matthew 24:11, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” Although this passage speaks of the coming 7-year Tribulation period, we are already seeing many false teachers arise in this generation. The list is simply too long to name of popular false teachers in our time, but a few such ungodly names are: John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, Paul Washer, John Piper, Marty Herron, Jeff Redlin, Gary Walton, Timothy Zacharias, Steve Pettit, Chuck Phelps, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Pat Robertson, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, et cetera.

Look at the Satanic trash that Pensacola Christian College's Campus Church mailed me yesterday!!! PCC is sinfully preaching another gospel, which perversion cannot produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God. It is tragic that PCC today preaches the same damnable heresy contained in the Devil's modern Bible revisions. How ironic! PCC uses only the inspired King James Bible, yet they have adopted and embrace the false doctrines propagated by the Devil's bibles. The fallacy that a lost sinner must “turn from your sinful bad habits” to get to Heaven is the Devil's lie taught in the new corrupt Bible versions. But you won't find any such nonsense taught in the blessed King James Bible.

It saddens my heart that from nearly every pulpit, television channel, radio station, religious college and social media platform today, a works-based-salvation is being preached. ...

2nd Timothy 4:2-4, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

When I post a picture of a puppy with a Bible verse, I get 50 likes on Facebook; but when I tell THE TRUTH that Pensacola Christian College (PCC) is pulling on the same rope as the Devil by preaching a counterfeit plan of salvation, I am fortunate to receive 2 likes. The Bible foretold that in these last days people who no longer tolerate sound doctrine. Instead, they have itching ears, only supporting what they feel like hearing.

They have turned their ears away from hearing THE TRUTH and instead have turned unto fables. The Greek word for “fables” here is muthos, meaning: “a tale, that is, fiction.” The Devil's lies of Lordship Salvation, misunderstood repentance and false bibles are all fiction). Most churchgoers today are mere sponges, absorbing whatever they are taught, whether it be doctrinally sound or perverse. Guard your soul dear reader, because today's pulpits in nearly every case are corrupt. Calvinism is NOT the Gospel. This damnable heresy has crept into nearly every church today to some extent.

I am as John the Baptist, a voice crying in the Wilderness. Americans are notorious for our arrogance, haughty price and stubbornness, having little or no humility. And what little humility we Americans seem to superficially display is a mere chip on our shoulder, ready to blow up on someone the minute they offend us, or have a bad day. That is not being Christlike. We should be slow to anger, full of compassion, and gentle toward others at all times.

The Holy Bible prophesied that “perilous times” would come (2nd Timothy 3:1-7), a time when people will no longer tolerate sound Bible doctrine (i.e., the truth). My preaching is not very popular lately. Most of my web and blog visitors couldn't care less about the heresies of wrong repentance or Lordship Salvation, or that Pensacola Christian College (PCC) and Bob Jones University (BJU) are both preaching these damnable heresies. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!

I challenge you dear reader, if you are guilty of not caring about the evils which I have mentioned in this blog, that you will do some homework to investigate the things I say. Go check what the religious cults teach about Bible repentance to get to Heaven. You will find that those who preach that you must “turn from your sins” to be saved, are teaching the same exact wicked trash as all the cults do. So, what does "accepting" Jesus really mean? Is it a one-time act of faith, or is it a continuing way of life? Must our belief be strong enough to motivate us to action? Can we really accept the benefits of Jesus' sacrifice without the responsibility of following him?
