Hosea 3:4-5, “For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.”
Our text passage from Hosea teaches that the Israelites will be without a king, and without a nation or temple (as they are today and have been for thousands of years), but will ultimately be restored when the Jews repent toward God, when Jesus Christ returns at His Second Coming in the future.
In the Old Testament God promised to give Abraham and Sarah a son. Several years passed and Sarah couldn't get pregnant. So she contrived a sinful plot for her husband to impregnate their maid, Hagar. She did get pregnant and bore a son, and Abraham named him Ishmael. Although God told Abraham that He would bless Ishmael, God rejected Ishmael as the son of promise. Abraham and Sarah sinned by taking matters into their own hands, instead of waiting upon the Lord to fulfill His promise.
Likewise, the Rothchild family and other ungodly sinners, took it upon themselves to create the secular nation-state of present-day Israel, which was founded in Palestine on May 15, 1948. Men did this, not God! That is why I always refer to present-day Israel as being manmade, because that is exactly what it is. I fully agree with Pastor J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) in this doctrinal matter . . .
“Israel is just like any other nation. Some think they're a little brutal, but my friend, they're on the defense over there, you can be sure of that. And they have to exercise a strong defense system. They're not backing that land in fulfillment of prophecy. They have returned to the land, but they have not yet returned to the Lord. When they return to the Lord there will be blessing. They have not yet done that!
...they went out in 70 A.D. And they actually have never returned to the land according to the Word of God. Now hear me very carefully because this is very important to see. They have returned to the land today, and it's remarkable what has happened over there, but it's not the fulfillment of prophecy, because the prophecy says when they return they'll return TO GOD!”In his “THRU-THE-BIBLE” commentary for Hosea 3:5, Dr. McGee stresses the truth that there are more Arab Christians in Israel today than there are Jewish Christians. Upon a return trip to visit Israel, Pastor McGee makes the startling comment, “Over there there's no turning to God, at all!” While visiting he saw a big motto in Israel which read: “SCIENCE WILL BRING PEACE TO THIS LAND.” Israel is a Godless nation today!

Dr. McGee estimates that there are less than 300 Israelites that are real believers in Israel today! I agree with his assertion. The Russian Catholic Church owns much land in Israel today, as do Greek Orthodox and Muslims. Dr. McGee rightly states, “We're a nation of Biblical ignoramuses! We do not know the Word of God today in this land” (Pastor J. Vernon McGee, 'THRU-THE-BIBLE,' commentary from Hosea 4:1-2). Every Christian should form a daily habit of Bible reading.
When Christ returns and defeats the Antichrist, and He established His millennial Kingdom for 1,000 years, Jesus will sit upon the throne of David and reign over the whole earth from Jerusalem. Revelation 19:15, “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” During the millennium there won't be the wars, lying, truce-breaking and hatred among the nations that exists today, and has existed throughout history.
The Bible tells us that in the last days people would break their truces. 2nd Timothy 3:1-3, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,” War ensued again between Israel and the Palestinians. I was shocked how many times since 1948 that tens of thousands of Palestinians were murdered by Israel. Tragically, life is cheap in Palestine. Israel is guilty far more than the Palestinians of war crimes. It is sad that a truce means nothing to Israel.
I was watching a news documentary today on YouTube about Israel and the Palestinians. There have been truces made between the two groups over the decades since 1948, when manmade Israel was formed. Sadly, both groups have repeated broken their truce agreements. A unilateral peace agreement was reached in the year 2000, overseen by President Bill Clinton when Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat (1929-2004) was still alive, but in the months to follow both sides reneged on their promises and the whole thing fell apart.
In the past month Israel has murdered over 10,000 innocent poor people in Palestine, in angry retaliation for Hamas murdering 1,400 Jews last month in cold blood. Both sides hate each other's guts. Both sides want their pound of flesh, they want blood. Human nature is so desperately wicked, as the Holy Bible teaches in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Over the past century Israel has murdered over 100,000 Palestinians!!! The plain truth dear reader is that both the Jews and non-Jews in both Israel and Palestine need Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
The World Needs Jesus As Their Personal Savior
I once heard a story. I don't know if it is true, but the point is valid just the same. A communist and a Christian man once had a conversation. The communist said to the Christian man: “Do you see that man over there? Communist could put a new coat on him.” The Christian man replied: “Christianity could put a new man in the coat!” I love that! No amount of grooming, catering and cozying up to both sides in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Arabs will ever resolve this crisis. The only permanent solution is Christianity for both sides. Jesus taught 'The Golden Rule' in Matthew 7:12, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”
The Middle East woefully lacks love for God and their neighbours. Sadly, the majority of churches in America today woefully lack genuine love for God and people. I receive so many emails from hurting people, who tell me about abusive clergy. They share with me horrible things that pastors and religious leaders have done to hurt them. That is so sad and shameful. If there is one place in the world where a sinner should be able to go and be loved, it is a Bible-believing church. I have often preached the truth that we should never reject the sinner with the sin, or accept the sin with the sinner. People just want to be loved.
Love The Arab People
I love and appreciate the soulwinning ministry of Pastor Steven L. Anderson at the faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona. Unfortunately, Pastor Anderson woefully lacks God's unconditional love for lost sinners, particularly the LGBTQ homosexual community. That is very wrong! If you are a born-again believer as I am, then God commands us to hate evil (Psalms 97:10), but never people (John 3:16). The servant is not greater than His master Jesus said (John 13:16). If our dear Savior loved sinners, then what in the world compels preachers like Steven Anderson to hate them?
Luke 9:51-56, “And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.”
Tennessee evangelical pastor, Greg Locke, weeks ago called for the total annihilation of Gaza by Israel. Locke suggested that Israel turn the entire Gaza Strip into a giant parking lot, murdering all non-Jew Palestinian people in cold blood. Folks, Locke is a wicked person! No Christian should desire or rally for the destruction of any group of people! Jesus rebuked His disciples for desiring to pray down fire to destroy the Samaritans. That is exactly what foolish pastors like Greg Locke and others are doing today, wanting to see the Palestinian people destroyed. If you side with Israel and have no compassion for the Arab people, then you need to get your wicked heart right with God friend.
I mentioned Steven Anderson earlier. Sadly, he still hasn't learned at age 41 as a saint of God to separate and balance his hatred for sin and love for people. Pastor Jack Hyles was so right, who wisely said...

I challenge you dear reader, whoever you may be, to LOVE everyone. But you cannot love anyone until you first let God love you. That is so important to understand. GOD LOVES YOU!!! John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” When you love someone, you GIVE. There's not going to be any peace on this earth until The Prince Of Peace (Jesus) comes and He makes the peace. The Bible teaches in 2nd Timothy 3:1-7 that perilous times shall comes, and brother perilous times are hear!
