Beware Of The Prophecy Fearmongers

Matthew 24:11, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

Human beings have a remarkable tendency to take something genuinely uncertain, attach a specific date or dramatic scenario to it, and then become absolutely convinced that this time it's different.

We've seen that pattern repeatedly:

• Y2K — widespread fears that January 1, 2000 would produce catastrophic computer failures
• 2012 — interpretations of the Mayan calendar, often mixed with Nostradamus and other prophecies
• Blood moons — astronomical events turned into supposed prophetic countdowns.
• “Rapture” theories — False prophets like Robert Breaker predicted multiple years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017) that the Rapture would happen, but obviously it didn't.
• ”Last Pope” theories — various interpretations of the Prophecy of the Popes being used to predict imminent catastrophe
• And now, potentially, A.I. extinction by 2035 according to some ”experts”

It never ends! The underlying psychology is remarkably similar: take an uncertain phenomenon, connect it to an enormous consequence, assign a date, and then give people a compelling narrative about why disaster is approaching.

It's a swindler's dream come true! Books, television programs, websites, speaking engagements, subscriptions, documentaries, and social-media attention can all financially reward sensational predictions, and the con artists know it! Fear is extraordinarily effective at getting people's attention and money.

I used to get caught up into the never-ending hype from false prophets about the world ending soon, but for the past decade or so I no longer pay attention to them. They are nuts.

The inspired Holy Bible teaches that God has established the earth forever. Psalms 104:5, “Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.” So, anyone who tries to scare you—about an asteroid destroying the earth, the planets shifting out of their orbit and colliding, our sun burning out, or any other clever way that the earth will meet its demise—the Bible says that they are all liars.

And Global Warming is a massive fraud. Genesis 8:22, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” A certain degree of fluctuating Climate Change is normal from century to century, as seen with El Nino and El Nina (respectively, a heating or cooling of the ocean). But the earth is not heating up to extinction because of cow flatulence, hot showers and cars.

In 1844, a heretical Baptist preacher named William Miller (1782-1849), foolishly predicted the Lord's return. Over 10,000 “Millerites” sold their homes, gave away all their earthly possessions, and felt like idiots when the Lord didn't return. So to save face they started the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) religion, claiming that they had misunderstood Bible prophecy, and that Jesus entered into the heavenly Holy Place instead in 1844. The SDA religion wouldn't exist today if Pastor William Miller hadn't foolishly crunched a bunch of numbers in the Bible, to form his whacko prophecy of Christ returning in the year 1844. SDA was born out of heresy and a failed prophecy, and they continue still today on that flawed basis. Seventh-day Adventism is a massive Satanic hoax!!!

The world is get more insane every passing day. Nothing surprises me anymore. I am so sick and fed up and tired of professed Christians reading into events going on in the Middle East, and insinuating that it signals Christ's soon return. It does not. The inspired Holy Bible teaches in Luke 21:24b, “Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” That is, until Jesus' return at His Second Coming. Israel could be annihilated today and it would be Biblical. The heathen manmade nation of Israel has no promise of divine protection from God at this present time. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

So, do yourself a favor and turn off the prophecy fearmongers.
